Abstract
The Hungarian open-air sculptures are generally made from different sorts of stone found in the country; they react differently to the changes of temperature, air-pollution, etc. The article describes the specific damages, methods of conservation and restoration, and materials used for compensation. To save the sculptures from the damaging effect of rain water, they must be treated about every third year. An important protective material is lime cream. -- AATA
