Describes an experiment to determine whether the chemical constituents of clays used by potters of the Late Bronze Age at sites in Crete, Greece, and the Greek Islands, differ significantly from site to site or from region to region. Differences could be used to identify sources of manufacture. Results of the experiment showed differences which, in some cases, are significant.
