Abstract
Examples are given of Greek, Etruscan and Roman objects dating 6th century B.C, to 3rd century A.D. Diagrams of flow welding are given, and the discussion is extensively illustrated with detail photographs of objects, showing their construction. Experimental welding was done in the laboratory. Analysis of different pans of some objects was made by wet chemical methods and emission spectroscopy.
