Abstract
This method is adaptable, sensitive, and suitable for the routine analysis of very small samples removed from antiquities. It is economical in the amount of sample required for reliable results. By taking a number of small samples, instead of a large sample, it is possible to obtain a reliable statistical estimate of the bulk composition of the object. -- ICCROM
