Abstract
Discusses those crafts which author tried to develop in lsrael in the early decades of the 20th century through instruction and workshop production at the Bezalel School. Among the crafts were silver and gold filigree work, carpet weaving, Damascene brass work, ivory and stone carving, embroidery, enamel work, shell work, amber work, brass casting. For each craft, he details the necessary raw materials and equipment (and mentions whether they were available locally or had to be imported), the skills required of the craftsman, and where the pieces were sold. -- AATA
