Abstract
Drawing upon an analysis and interpretation of several toponyms from Kosovo, the author determines the site of the old monastery of Ubozac, suggests a possible location for the medieval Serbian Royal Palace of Vrhlab, discovers traces of some interesting crafts in the medieval town of Novo Brdo and its vicinity, and concludes that a settlement of Kuman Turks had existed in Kosovo far before the Turkish rule, and Germans ( Saxon miners as they were referred to) lived in Kosovo throughout the Serbian medieval rule and even later under the Turkish rule, until the end of the 17th century. -- AATA
