Abstract
The full reconstruction of the medieval single-naved church was initiated by the local parish and financed by the National Inspectorate of Monuments. A technical survey and examination of the building preceded the renovation plans. Only the western outer walls and two corner buttresses survive from the earliest architectural period; later the church was enlarged by an octagonal vaulted chancel. In the 1720's, the western wooden-framed entrance door and the choir were constructed and the church itself became a calvary chapel. Reconstruction included technical renovation, the repair of the roof, the construction of a new choir with a stair access. The walled up windows were opened and the remains of the medieval vaulting presented. -- AATA
