Abstract
Background and discussion of research done in 1987 at the Glasgow Museum on labeling materials and commercial marking pens. Tests for lightfastness were carried out with a Microscal fading lamp using Blue Wool Standards 4, 6, and 7 for grading. Inks were tested for solubility in solvents and lightfastness.
