Abstract
Photographing an object at 1x, which is highly desirable for accurate documentation, presents problems of exposure, depth of field, and resolution. Numerous optical devices such as supplementary adapters, extension tubes and bellows or extension ring and tubes, and macrolens, can solve these problems, and a review of their use is presented. Photographic examples illustrate the described techniques and use of specific films.
