Abstract
Lepage's Bondfast, like other white glues is a synthetic resin emulsion glue. It may cause corrosion on metals. Some conservators take exception to white glues because they can be difficult to remove. The Ambroid Liquid Cement is probably a cellulose nitrate or acetate glue which should not be harmful to organic materials. It may contain impurities or have its composition changed without notice. Calaton CB, a soluble nylon with good properties is recommended for the mending of baskets. It can be dissolved in warm ethanol, methanol, or methylated spirits.
