Abstract
A new method for determining small amounts of sodium in calcium carbonate by the magnesium-uranyl acetate method gave results in a shorter time than the usual extraction method. This new method is applicable to a wide range of chemicals intended for reagent purposes, especially those of the alkali and alkaline earth groups, and even of many of the heavy metals as well.
