The author describes slotted watch glasses used in the laboratory that have proved very satisfactory for covering beakers during electrolytic determinations. Similar ones might find application in other situations where it is desirable to provide a cover glass that may be readily removed and replaced in spite of obstructions that would otherwise interfere.
