Abstract
Dry cleaners now use ozone generators to remove smoke and other odors from textiles. Garments, draperies, mattresses, or other items damaged by odors should be placed in a sealed room with the generator. Purchase and rental prices of the generators are also discussed. Standards governing exposure to the ozone are dictated by Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recommendations. (Editor's note: This treatment is not recommended for ancient textiles.)
