This article is concerned with textile uses of acrylics, and especially with some of the chemical and physical properties responsible for their utility in certain applications. Other polymer types are mentioned where it is desirable to show similarities or differences, because the use of acrylics in a particular application will be unique only where other polymers do not have the required properties.
