Abstract
Footwear is found relatively rarely in an archaeological context. Even when remains of such object can be observed, only small fragments survive. The author gives a brief survey of Magyar footwear in the so-called Conquest period. The object restored now comes from Northeast Hungary, Karos, excavated by L. Révész. The find has very few parallels in Hungary. Besides conservation of the leather boot, the author enumerates technological, archaeological and ethnographic observations. -- AATA
