Preliminary report on the work of James R. Druzik on the buffer capacity or acidic resistance of paper. Commercially and lab buffered papers are being analyzed. A primary concern is to evaluate the importance of buffering paper and using buffered paper in physical protection, when faced with airborne acids associated with mist and dust. -- AATA
