Abstract
The family tree, a copper etching measured 184x138 cm it was built up of nine sheets and lined with linen, which was removed. The sheets were separately washed and deacidificated with barium hydroxide. Missing parts were repared with Japanese paper and the etching was reassembled and relined on linen with methyl cellulose.
