Abstract
History of the use of architectural records is followed by information on the different forms the drawings and copies have taken: drafting cloth (linen), vellum, polyester film, blueprints, sepia, diazotype, etc.-along with their chemistry or means of manufacture. Some preservation techniques, mainly microfilming, are mentioned.
