This two-page article first sums up the life of the artist. He was born in Honduras in 1896, and had a difficult life. His paintings were kept in a cellar at the Ministry of Culture, and later found their way to the Honduran Institute of Anthropology and History where their restoration was begun by the Taller de Restauración de Pinturas de Caballete y Escultura in 1979 through international funding. Most of his paintings were executed on both sides of the canvas, and restoration involved designing special frames with wedge-shaped reinforcements according to the Dutch system.
