Abstract
First, a review of literature on the stone technology of the Vinca culture is provided. The present paper is based on the study of the stone technology in Gomolava and also takes into account the outstanding collections of the flint artifacts from Potporanj. The flint-stone technology of the Vinca culture in Gomolava is best represented by cutting tools, blades. They are most often made of different variants of silex or of silex itself. Blades are more numerous than cores. It seems that the inhabitants of the Vinca culture acquired tools already flanked and shaped. A detailed typology of the cutting tools from Gomolava and Potporanj is provided. -- AATA
