The effects of the 1981 CIE revised recommendations for the calculation of tristimulus values is discussed. The revision offers two methods of calculation, and reasons for the selection of one method are given. The calculation of tristimulus values both directly and by the use of weights is presented. Some of the terms such as range of data and normalization are discussed, as well as the method of integration by summation of rectangles. -- AATA
