Abstract
Dyeing hand spun silk fabrics with safflower was studied. The specific wave length of ultraviolet absorption spectrum was examined by using a low temperature extract and a chloroform extract of safflower. It was found that the low temperature extract of safflower revealed maximum absorption in every concentration. A visible absorption spectrum study was made on the extracts, and maximum absorption wave lengths were found. A linear relation was noted between color concentration and optical density. -- AATA
