Abstract
The prill extraction copper smelting technique is studied. Microstructure composition relationships in extracted copper prills and prills retained with the slag phase have been used to establish metal-metal and metal-matte equilibria. The presence of arsenic in artifacts is significant for determining provenance. This phase analysis is consistent with the smelting of sulfide ores. -- AATA
