The purpose of this review is to indicate the various proven and experimental ways of imparting curl and bulk into wool pile carpet yarns. The potential of such yarns has never before been exploited in the form of tufted carpets. These yarns, alone or in combination with other basic and ornamental yarns, may extend further the texturising possibilities in the novelty-hungry tufting sector of the carpet trade.
