This volume contains preprints of papers presented at the Kyoto Conference of the IIC on the Conservation of Far Eastern Art. Four pages of color plates pertaining to some of the papers appear at the very front of the volume. The largest single topic covered is conservation of Japanese and Chines paper and paper objects, including folding screens. Other topics include conservation of archaeological wood, metal artifact corrosion, conservation and restoration, stone sculpture conservation, textile conservation, ceramic conservation, and museum environments. Addresses of the contributors appear at the end of the volume.
