Abstract
The thermoluminescent process is described, and its application to authenticity testing of ceramics is discussed. Examples are a Persian pottery bull vessel from Amlash, supposedly dating to 1000 BC., two Chinese pottery figures, one Wei Dynasty (4th 6th centuries A.D.) and one T'ang Dynasty (7th 10th centuries A.D.), and an Etruscan wall painting (ca.500 B.C.)
