Abstract

U-series ages were determined for groundwater carbonate crusts formed on Mousterian tools and for pedogenic carbonates in the red beds containing the tools. These age date the tools at ~ 50, 000 years ago and identify three Pleistocene episodes of red bed formation in the region. -- AATA
