Demonstrates that utilization of the pulse mode of operation of a research reactor in conjunction with an adequately instrumented fast pneumatic system results in excellent sensitivity for some of the fast neutron reactions of some of the lower molecular weight elements and has potentially a much greater sensitivity for many thermal neutron reactions producing short- half-lived radioisotopes once proper sample containers are available.
