Abstract
Plate and blockglass was used in art deco streamline and art moderne architectural styles. Installation specifitions are given for exterior and interior glass asphalt adhesive and expansion joints. Reasons for damage include deterioration of mastic and joint filling. Rapair of joints by silicone rubber, rapair of cracks, removal and renewal of edhesive and replacement panels or substitute materials are described. Diagrams, photographs. -- ICCROM
