Technical analysis of Dieric Bouts's <i>Annunciation</i>, in the J. Paul Getty Museum, is summarized. The picture is one of the few surviving examples of works that are commonly referred to as <i>Tüchlein</i> painting. The painting's relationship with similar works by Bouts is discussed. Findings concerning the support, ground, underdrawing, paint medium, and pigments are reported and illustrated.
