The logistics of the autoradiography project are explained and illustrated. The effects onpainting materials from exposure to radiation were studied in detail. Tests described prove that the amount of radiation to which each painting was exposed in the study was several orders of magnitude below the level at which radiation damage, even to the most sensitive materials, can be detected.
