Abstract
The condition of the Perseus and Andromeda (Wallace Collection, London) is described together with the criteria which governed the restoration. Examination of the painting by means of x-radiography, infrared photography and vidicon technique, and micro-analysis reveals numerous changes in the placement and evolution of the figures as they appear in the finished painting. The painting technique was found to be consistent with that observed elsewhere in Titian's late works. -- AATA
