Abstract
A method of wire strain measurement is suggested for use in determining the stressed state of materials. To find the value of deformation of the material, resistance sensors are used for relaying electric signals to a recording instrument. Using this method, an experiment ascertaining the effect of ambient humidity on flax canvas is discussed.
