Abstract
The behavior of benzotriazole and tolyltriatole as inhibitors in cooling waters (i.e., near neutral, low conductivity aqueous media) was studied. Relationships between chemical properties and inhibition behavior are discussed. A modified theory of the inhibition mechanism is proposed, in considerable detail. -- AATA
