Abstract
A newly devised method, based on those in use in Paris, is described for attaching art on paper inside the inlay. It has been developed in the Department of Western Pictorial Art Conservation in the British Museum. It involves the use of strips of Japanese tissue attached to the back and avoids need for overall pressing of the artwork.
