Recent archeological research and analysis carried out by means of raking light, ultraviolet (UV) fluorescence, UV reflectography, and infrared photography have allowed a better study of the materials and techniques of Greek murals: including support, preliminary drawing, colors, and medium. The painting technique is tempera with egg medium.
