Abstract
Results are given of a long-term (1968-82) study of borer attack, fungal infestation, timber softening, splitting, repairs, and fishing gear carried in <i>Albizia chinensis</i> catamarans, untreated or treated with copper-chrome-arsenate (16 or 32 kg/m<sup>3</sup>). Treated catamarans showed superior performance in every respect and were still in service after 14 years. Untreated catamarans were rejected during 11th and 13th years of service. -- AATA
