Abstract
The use of impulse response measurements for signal recovery in photoacoustic spectroscopy is described. The technique is compared with the use of sequential single frequency modulation methods and is shown to give improved results in depth profiling studies. An instrument capable of performing impulse response photoacoustic spectroscopy (IMPAS) is described and applied to a number of multilayer samples. -- AATA
