The second volume of <i>A Corpus of Rembrandt Paintings,</i> covering the artist's working period from 1632 to 1634, is briefly discussed. The catalog of all of Rembrandt's works includes microstylistic descriptions of each of the paintings. The study of the artist's brushstrokes at the overlay of color areas has indicated that he worked in planes from the back to the front of each picture. Several paintings from this period that posed particular problems in attribution are discussed.
