Abstract
Discusses some of the particular features and advantages of xeroradiography for the examination of archaeological material in museum collections. Provides a brief introduction to radiographic techniques and their application to museum objects, followed by a review of published work describing the application of xeroradiography to archaeological material. Presents some brief case studies on the use of xeroradiography for organic, ceramic, and metallic artifacts. The technique is a valuable addition to the array of radiographic methods available, and may contribute useful information both independently and in conjunction with other techniques.
