Abstract
Sections from the copper vessel belonging to the Sringverpura site, 3rd century BC (near Allahabad), were examined under the metallurgical microscope for the identification of types and extent of corrosion. The polished sections were dipped in different concentrations of BTA solution in water, BTA solution in alcohol, and BTA solution in alcohol and water. The experimental results revealed that the BTA solution in water at elevated temperature was more satisfactory in comparison to the BTA in alcohol. -- AATA
