Abstract
Studies were made on gaseous emissions from wood samples impregnated with F-8 , a preservative agent containing acidic F salts (47% KHF<sub>2</sub>) and inorganic B compounds. Pine and spruce samples containing F-8 emitted no HF gas either in test chambers or in open-air studies, and they did not cause corrosion (without loss or dulling) of samples of window glass. Emissions from other F-containing agents are also reported. -- AATA
