Abstract
The natural durability of wood of 22 representative species of the more important West African lowland forest types was determined by the soil block method (ASTM 2017-63) involving Coriolus versicolor and Gloeophyllum trabeum. Lophira alata and * 2Tieghemella heckelii*1 were classified as very resistant (mean weight loss 3.2%), six species classified as highly resistant (mean weight loss 17%), eight as resistant, and six as non-resistant. -- AATA
