Discussed is the development of a method designed to aid in determining the acid and alkali uptake of wool which has been exposed to oxidative damage, The findings prove that it is possible to determine the cysteic acid content by measuring the acid uptake of isoionic hair, proving that the electrodialysis method can replace the amino acid test. -- AATA
