Discusses Chinese mirrors dating to the Han Dynasty period, found along the Don river and the Black Sea coast, mainly in the Sarmatian graves of the 1st century BC early 2nd century AD. The problem of dating the mirrors and the burial contexts is discussed, as well as the question of the influence of Chinese mirrors on specimens of local production, morphologically similar to Sarmatian mirrors, although decorated in the Han style. The authors enlist all known finds of Chinese mirrors in Eastern Europe to show with certainty their penetration in that area. Spectral and metallographic investigation serve to solve the problems stated above. In the conclusion of the study, the finds discussed are analyzed in the context of the ethnopolitical situation in Eurasia in the break of the eras and in the 1st century AD.
