Abstract
Two fragments in a 1988 exhibition of Cycladic sculpture at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts were found to belong together. The sculpture may have been broken to fit into a grave. The pieces were rejoined using steel dowelling and adhesive. The reunited piece will now move every five years between the Virginia Museum and the Getty Museum.
