Abstract
Paper is a tangled web of vegetable fibers, commonly linen, cotton, wood, mulberry, or esparto. These are biodegradable cellulose and by conserving them we are fighting the laws of nature. Rule number one in this battle is to put paper supported works of art into the best possible environment for their preservation: i.e., a package made of pure materials which can chemically and physically protect the work. -- CAL
