Abstract
The Martyrdom Ma Hang of the tomb of the Easter Zhou Dynasty in Linzi is an important cultural relics of the ancient Qi city. The unearthed 106 horse skeletons are not well conserved. In order to better exhibit and converse the horse skeletons, more appropriate methods are needed. The horse bones were characterized by SEM, EDS, XFR, IR and XRD , Water content, weight, density and other data were also collected to investigate the preservation ostatus and potential deterioration mechanisms. This work provided basis for further protection. Collagen and hydroxyapatite are are major components of natural bone tissues. They were used to build engineered bone tissue scaffold materials. The bioactive and porous microspheres developed are considered potentially useful in the conservation of bone relics as a matrix for tissue engineering as well as a direct filling protective material applied to bone relics.
