X-ray radiography technique has been applied on several burned or badly oxidized ancient metal artifacts, most of which cannot be assessed. The first radiographic study was realized on a chunk of metals and beads clustered together. The x-ray radiography of the cluster disclosed a major part of a disc with cuneiform script on it. By reading the inscription from the radiograph, it was disclosed that the disc belongs to the period of Assyrian King Shalmaneser I. Other radiographic studies were applied on two heaps of silver ornaments that appeared to have been burned in fires. Details can be noticed clearly. Another plate is of a part of a helmet which had been destroyed by environmental effects. Its radiograph shows that there are figures on it such as a cavalryman and Nike. So, the radiographic studies turned in rather important information for the archaeological evaluation of some artifacts, details of which were obscured by rust and oxidation.
