A study of the deterioration of wooden cultural property, where microorganisms cause different symptoms, such as staining, soft rot, white rot, dry rot, etc. Factors affecting deterioration, such as moisture, temperature, nutrition, and pH, are also mentioned. Control measures for checking the decay of wooden cultural property are discussed and reviewed.
